Psalm 90 Wrath

Divine law is designed for the expression of pure spiritual potential. As with any law the rules are accessible, but it is our choice to cooperate with the law and minimize our own challenges.

We turn to our own ways (dust) and then God calls us back to our spiritual nature. This is an on going process in our spiritual awakening. We make forward progress and then slip, as we are given tougher tests in life.  We experience a process of degeneration and regeneration on our spiritual path. But we who are persistent continue on honing our understanding.

Eventually we are given flashes of insight into our true nature, and the long and winding road of our lives seems to all fall into place. It doesn’t matter how long it takes for us to learn the Truth  (for a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past). Once we understand our true nature it is as if things have always been that way (the years are swept away).

Sin (not knowing our oneness with God) is what makes us mortal. Sins cannot be hidden in the Spiritual realm. When we miss the mark, we experience pain. One can draw the analogy that when we try to behave in opposition to the laws of gravity experience pain.

The wrath of God and the love of God are directly related. The law is what it is, unchangeable, but we take it upon ourselves to try to create our own rules. The beauty of it is that any of us who chooses can know and follow the law. True wrath would be if there were some type of arbitrary judgment that could change on a whim. Under the wrath of God consciousness, we are focused on our separateness from God, therefore our years are short and we suffer. If we are blessed we have the strength to appreciate our days so that we may learn the necessary lessons of life (gain a wise heart). We attain freedom through the submission of our gifts to the will and works of God through the power of the Christ within us and in our midst (prosper the work of our hand).

And so it is! Amen!
