Psalm 100 Present in Praise

Have you noticed that it is difficult to praise God when we are focused on the past or the future? The only moment in which we can truly experience the Divine is now. This poem calls every fiber of our being in to joyous praise. We are to be fully present in the present. Giving thanks to God should be done with gladness not fear or moroseness. Singing is an activity that draws our whole being into praise. When we sing  the sound causes vibrations within and around us, creating harmony. Also singing relaxes the left or analytical brain. It allows us to be fully present in the moment.
We must understand that we are of God, made by God and nothing without God. God has a role in everything that happens in our lives. Even in the most troubling circumstance, God is there watching and waiting for us to step up to fulfill our Divine purpose. We are not here for ourselves, we are here to serve God and humankind. Spirit does Its work through us--we are the sheep of His pasture.

In order to “enter the kingdom,” we must give thanks that we are in God’s hands and all is well. When we surrender our lives to God and give thanks, we focus our energies (gates) on attaining a divine understanding (his courts) of our situation. In spiritual consciousness there is the acknowledgement that good is already present. It always has been and always will be; for God is all there is. In God there is no past or future only the present.

And so it is! Amen!
