Spirit will protect us when our thoughts have gone astray (trouble). In these times we must keep our thoughts focused on God’s presence. Just invoking the name I AM that I AM (the name of the God of Jacob) in meditation and prayer helps to free the mind from error thoughts. Spirit will send us guidance and give us support in love (Zion). Offerings, which you give joyously and with no ulterior motive, are very important to your spiritual development. Jesus said, for the measure you give will be the measure you get back (Luke 6:38). The other critical part of spiritual growth is mental and emotional cleansing (burnt sacrifice). The burnt sacrifices of the Old Testament are an allegory for the process of cleansing the mind of carnal (error based) thoughts and feelings. As we grow spiritually more of God’s gifts can be revealed to us, for we can only receive that which we understand. But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
If we allow ourselves to be led by Spirit (in the name of God set up our banners), there is nothing that we cannot do. We are assured of success when we affirm that which we truly desire in the name of God. His name is I AM that I AM. It is important to understand that what ever we say after the words I AM is a direct request to God. Our plans are fulfilled as we affirm the good in our lives: I am whole and perfect. We are protected when we fully appreciate the outpouring of Spirit in our lives (his anointed).
Some take pride in external, visible things (chariots and horses); but we who understand take pride in that invisible presence of Christ within us and in our midst. Those who place their faith in material things shall surely fall, but we who have faith in God shall be made stronger. The Hebrew word for victory is yeshuah, which also means salvation and Jesus. When we seek spiritual perspective, we have achieved the victory: the restoration of our spiritual birthright.
And so it is! Amen!
