Psalm 121 The Lord Waits On Us

As we reach a deeper level of spiritual understanding, many things become clearer to us. Christ said, as you give so shall you receive. Most of us relate to this to in a very limited way. We think that if we give money or love, we will receive them in kind. But perhaps the most important application of this principle is in our relationship with God. When we serve God joyously and wholeheartedly, we will find that Spirit will serve us everyday in every way. Turning our lives over to God opens the floodgates so that God’s Presence and Power may guide us.

For those who look to the Lord for help (choose to follow their spiritual path), all things will be taken care of by God. The language used here almost sounds as if God is like the servant of a rich man. God will not allow your foot to be moved; God will not slumber; God is your shade. When we open our hearts and minds to God, we are protected from any evil or error. Spirit directs our every thought and action (the Lord is your shade at your right hand, the Lord will keep your coming out and your going in). All of these statements are powerful visual representations of a Presence and a Power, which, once we decide to serve It, It will serve us in every way.

And so it is! Amen!
