Psalm 84 Worshipping in the Temple

Once we have turned our attention Godward, we are transformed. When we have had a taste of the Truth it becomes irresistible to us. Even though there are many challenges to be met along the way, when we have experienced the joy of letting go and letting God, it is impossible to forget. There is such happiness and harmony when we go with the flow of Spirit rather than resisting. What a gift it is to learn that God truly has only our best interests at heart! When we put ourselves completely into God’s hands, we can have all of these things with no effort of our own.
When we have been in direct contact with the Presence within (your dwelling place), we long for that experience again (my soul longs, indeed it faints for the courts of the Lord). There is room for all things, no matter how small (event the sparrow finds a home and the swallow a nest for herself), at the altar of God. The only way to ensure happiness is to live our lives in the bosom of Spirit’s guidance. Even if we experience challenges (the valley of Baca), they can be life and love giving (springs, rain).

One day of spiritual bliss is better than a thousand elsewhere. For God provides both illumination (sun) and protection (shield). All that is God is ours to the extent that we understand our relationship to God (walk upright) and have unwavering faith in God (trusts in you). We live our lives worshipping in the temple of our own souls.

And so it is! Amen!
