Psalm 149 The Two-Edged Sword

As we sing the praises of God, we create changes in our consciousness. The power of the uttered (and thought) word cannot be underestimated. We can use the creative authority of the word to craft a life of joy or pain. It is our choice. The throat is the power center through which our understanding is expressed. Our spoken word in tone and vibration always reflects that which we truly believe. Regardless of the actual words spoken, our true intention can always be discerned. This is why the tongue is the two-edged sword. On the one hand it is the source of all creative energy in our lives. However it can also be the most destructive force in our lives.

When our throats harbor the high praises of God, Spirit descends into our consciousness and lifts it. This is called the quickening of Spirit. This process is actually the dissolving of our error thoughts and feelings. Our personal will (kings) is spiritualized (bound with fetters). When our personal will is placed in the service of Spirit, we walk with authority in the world. The language used to describe this process is so violent is because this process can actually create severe physical symptoms. If we understands what is occurring rather than fighting the symptoms, we can bless them knowing that advancement is underway. We finally achieve spiritual discernment and can release all unwanted thoughts and habits.
In releasing our attachments to our old ideas and feelings, we can sing a new song, a song of Truth. Our minds are filled with Divine ideas (in the assembly of faithful). To those of us who recognize God as the center of our being, life is a song and a dance. We revel in our oneness with God and all of creation (glory).
And so it is! Amen!
